Health care, according to the
New York Times, remains a bright spot in the economy producing 17,000 jobs in September.
Too bad we just cut $1.1 billion out of
California's health care budget -- about half of those dollars were federal dollars that will now go to other states. The cut will mean a loss of nearly 11,000 jobs. It will also mean a loss of $485 million in income for families that work in the health care sector, which means they won't be buying couches, or pizza and will barely be able to fill up their tanks. It means an additional loss of $1.3 billion for California's economy because families won't be spending more.
