The tobacco companies have begun robo-calls against a possible increase in the cigarette tax to help fund health care, at least according to one Assembly office. It's reported by
Bill Ainsworth in the San Diego Union-Tribune news blog.
Given the fact that even smokers support tobacco tax increases, it's hard to see the point... other than placing the spotlight on a disliked industry and its practices.
